Be a source of light for domestic violence survivors this October.
October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).
In lieu of our annual Fall Luncheon, this October WomenSafe has decided to try something new and exclusive to support to survivors of domestic violence. These efforts are through an online campaign in collaboration with WomenSafe’s Resale Shoppe to encourage those affected by domestic violence to seek help without shame or guilt.
This year WomenSafe is celebrating by encouraging community members to Shine a Light on domestic violence and show their support for survivors by displaying a purple light in their windows (purple is the color that represents DVAM).

After months of living in the shelter and receiving counseling for both the children and myself, I knew I may never live 100% without fear but at least now, I have the confidence and resources to try.
Thanks to donors like you, Sidney* was able to utilize WomenSafe services and go on to live a self-sufficient life free from abuse with her two children.
