Roe Green

The Fairy Godmother of WomenSafe

Roe Green is a visionary for many organizations. Her philanthropic impact has blanketed the entire world, with a strong emphasis on strengthening and uplifting the Northeast Ohio area. As Trustee Emeritus and namesake to the Green House shelter and resource center, Roe has been assisting survivors of domestic violence at WomenSafe since 1987, when she began volunteering her time assisting clients in crisis. She was an on-call advocate who answered hotline calls during the midnight shift. Her $1 million match grant was instrumental in establishing the state of the art facility that now houses WomenSafe’s emergency shelter, support services, and administrative staff. WomenSafe is eternally grateful for Roe’s kindness and partnership in supporting survivors of domestic violence.
