WomenSafe Services During COVID-19

Like everyone else, WomenSafe has been monitoring the evolution and recommendations related to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are working around the clock to provide essential services and resources to those in need, while continuing to take measures to ensure that our clients, staff, and volunteers are safe and healthy during this difficult time. 

With that said, WomenSafe has taken extra precautions in order to prevent the spread of this Coronavirus. Updates to our services are as follows:

Emergency Shelter

Our emergency shelter remains open. The survivors calling WomenSafe home are relying on our life-saving services now more than ever. While taking extra precautions including limiting gatherings of individuals, operating on a reduced staff, limiting transports to necessary appointments, and more, we will continue to support those who need it.


Our COPEline is open 24/7 and available to anyone who needs it by calling 888-285-5665. Anyone who finds they need immediate assistance can call this number to be connected to one of our advocates. You aren't alone in this, and we are still here to provide as much support for survivors as we can.

Counseling and Outreach Services

To protect our clients and employees, all counseling and outreach appointments will be done by telecounseling or over the phone. No on-site appointments will be conducted at this time. We are continuing to provide as many resources and donations for our clients as possible, and are thinking creatively of ways to provide support. For questions about this, please call COPEline.

To protect the health and safety of everyone, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will not be accepting volunteers and their services at this time. We love our volunteers and want to make sure that everyone is protected during this outbreak. Until further notice, volunteer events will be postponed. 


We will not be accepting secondhand donations at this time. HOWEVER, we will accept essentials such as:

  • Toilet Paper 
  • Paper Towels 
  • Cleaning Supplies 
  • OTC Medications
  • Diapers 
  • Baby Wipes 
  • Food (juice, meat, pasta, milk, eggs, bread, lunch meat, etc.)

An appointment is required for drop offs, or you can visit our Amazon Wish List to purchase our most needed items and have them sent directly to our facility. Contact our Donations Coordinator at or 440-286-7154 x 230 for questions or to schedule a drop-off.

We appreciate your understanding while we all figure out how to operate in our ever-changing environment. Our number one priority will always be the safety of our clients, and we will continue to provide our services in any way we can.
